Jil Sander is a German designer with a minimalist and elegant style. She opened her first
boutique in 1968 in Hamburg, and five years later she founded the fashion house of the
same name. Her minimalist style, the choice of fabrics, and the use of colors that tend to
neutral made her gain success, and she opened other boutiques in London, Paris and New
York. Jil Sander says she is inspired by Coco Chanel and defines her style as ‘pure and
strong’. Some of her clients are Sigourney Weaver, Jude Law and Winona Ryder. Some
people compare her to Giorgio Armani in the haute couture world.
