LadyLike: Every Lady Has Her Skirt
The sophisticated alternative to quiet luxury takes the stage
There is no season more refined than autumn: it can add a touch of sensuality to sophistication while incorporating some clever references to the past. The absolute icon of the genre is the midi-skirt, either knee-length or calf-length, which this year designers have chosen to be flared, cut on the bias, or rich with pleats and folds, adding sweetness and movement to the feminine silhouette. It is impossible not to fall for Valentino’s 1950s creation crafted from pink silk, but the knee-length black silk velvet skirt by Saint Laurent also leaves a strong impression.
