Fur on the Outside
Streetwear, tailoring and fur: the hottest men’s outerwear of this winter.
Fur makes its comeback in the male wardrobe, but with a new language: urban, tailored, assertive. From the city to the mountains, the outerwear for winter 2025 is a hybrid of comfort and character — shearling, eco-fur or sheepskin, the key is that it is fur on the outside. Prada interprets it strictly: in the brown shearling jacket and the tweed coat with a sheepskin collar, fur meets the precision of tailoring. Saint Laurent gives it a rebellious edge: the double-breasted coat and the green jacket with shearling collar merge rock allure with French classicism. For Dolce & Gabbana, fur is pure theatricality: from the brown wool double-breasted coat to the lynx-effect jacquard coat, up to the leather jacket with fur collar — luxury that dares to be seen. Unreal Fur, instead, reinterprets it ethically: grey coats, electric blue jackets and faux-fur scarves prove that comfort can also be cruelty-free. At Magliano, fur becomes experimental, between faux-fur inserts and deconstructed proportions; while Yves Salomon reaffirms his mastery with reversible shearling and lambskin hoodies that combine warmth and sophistication.
