A student of Brera Academy and then an illustrator for Versace and Cadetta, he founded his own fashion house in 1983, and was soon able to boast of widespread acclaim thanks to his fun, provocative and up-to-date fashion. After his premature death, the creative direction of the brand passed on and is today guided by American designer Jeremy Scott.
