The elegance of Shorts

The new dimension of Bermuda shorts, divided skirts and shorts

Masculine-inspired trousers find a new dimension and all designers unite to cut them at knee-height for a more light-hearted mood that does not leave elegance aside. More or less short, they combine well with men's jackets and shirts and can be perfectly matched to sneakers as well as heels. Bottega Veneta created them in chestnut leather, hitting just below the knee to be worn together with a blouse of the same material, for a total Matrix-style leather look. On the other hand, Prada chooses Glen-plaid light wool fabrics and satin for Bermuda shorts that follow the lines of men's trousers but cut at knee height. Those by Thom Browne, who designs his minimal shorts with side slits, are fitted. Those by Loewe slightly flared, with a high waist, crafted from denim, and vaguely retro- play the role of a skirt too. The shorts revisited by Gucci boast the brand's distinctive logo and must be worn strictly with knee-high socks.
