Short, minimalist, and the Sixties
The summer must-have reveals the knees
Short yes, but elegant, defined by lines and colours reminiscent of the Sixties, in an absolutely chic version. The silhouette proposed by the runways for summer is trapezoidal, the hem markedly above the knee, and a preference for small patterns, solid colours, jewel-like detailing measured and arranged with utmost care. Versace offers a white half-sleeved dress that seems it has been stolen from Jackie Kennedy's wardrobe. Valentino responds with a mint green trapeze dress with a slit neckline and proposes a flared skirt in a powder pink version worthy of Lolita. Kenzo’s cut remains unchanged, but adds a large embroidered rose, another trend of the season, to its cornflower blue creation.
