Satin is this summer’s hot trend

An undisputed icon of style, and for the first time jury member of the Cannes Film Festival, Tilda Swinton picked a refined and basic outfit with skinny trousers by Haider Ackermann, donning satin even during day, as the Spring/Summer 2019 trend dictates. The models by Alexandre Vauthier are very wide and soft, and on the catwalks Loewe offered blouses and trousers with minimal cuts and soft drapes in base colours, black and white, with the exception of a contrasting vivid orange side stripe. Alexa Chung chose floral prints for the satin in her mid-length dresses with deco reminiscence and an Empire waist, very soft on the sides. The platform sandals and Mary Jane shoes from Miu Miu feature a vintage inspiration. They are perfect to be worn as day or evening wear, with squared toe and strap with an embellished maxi-crystal fastening.
