Femme fatale
Leather is making a triumphant comeback, also in patent leather versions, and vinyl is reconfirmed
The latest fashion shows and the street style have once again proclaimed leather as a trend for winter 2022-2023 in its many different variations and revisited combinations, but which inevitably lends a sophisticated femme fatale charm to every outfit. Rick Owens introduces it in total 'faux' version, in his bustiers and high-waisted, ankle-length stretch skirts, to be worn with loafers or combat boots. The glossy-effect vinyl garments by Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini are jackets, skirts and oversize trousers crafted from super-shiny patent leather to be combined with a voile blouse with balloon-effect sleeves, or mohair micro-cardigans, thus creating a style that blends a biker girl mood and romanticism. Versace adds latex to her latest collection and so gives it an urban-chic vibe, where elegance emerges from resounding sensuality. Sheath dresses are very tight-fitting (obviously!) with thin shoulder straps and gold Medusa details on the straps. Blouses feature high necks and long sleeves, and the dresses with pencil knee-length skirts feature cut-out necklines. Black is the dominant colour, but touches of red and pastel shades are also present.
