Large pockets, zips and precious materials: the 'utility style' triumphs in its luxury version
Trousers and vests, but also jackets, shirts and safari jackets: garments that seem to come directly from mechanical workshops, fishing boats and gardeners' sheds. All characterised by a common element: impeccably tailored and crafted from luxury materials, preferably in palettes of neutral colours. Elisabetta Franchi adores utility style and revisits jumpsuits by adding sequins and draped tulle detailing to her black denim jumpsuit with pockets on the chest and legs. Maxi-pockets also for the faded denim safari jacket by Blazé Milano and for the hazelnut cotton Biker jacket by The Attico. The addition of metal rings is the cool detail of Coperni's cargo miniskirt, while Brunello Cucinelli offers wide-leg cargo jeans with small drawstrings at the ankles. Sacai does not lag behind: the very warm cashmere crew-neck jumper is adorned by a metal zip that goes down from the neck to the armpit.
