Combat boots are confirmed again this year as the quintessential winter footwear, to be worn on every occasion and not only during rainy days. We saw them parading on the catwalks combined with the most diverse outfits. Starting from the universally known Dr Martens classic 8-eye 1460 model created in 1960, which this year comes with a double-height sole, like those worn by Irina Shaykin various looks, all of them appropriate and inspiring. Prada offers a version with a rigged sole and mini-pouches on the leg. The boots dotted with studs by Alexander McQueen are irreverent and daring when combined with a stylishtailleur. Those by Ann Demeulemeester are crafted from polished leather and laced up to the knee, and The Row offers very minimalist zip-front models.
