Salvatore Ferragamo, the 'shoemaker to the stars', made his fortune in Hollywood before
returning to Italy and settling in Florence, where he opened a women’s shoe workshop.
Since 1950, the headquarters of the Ferragamo atelier, located in the Palazzo Spini Feroni,
has been a destination for actresses, aristocrats, and lovers of beauty. In 1995, the
Salvatore Ferragamo Museum was inaugurated in this Palazzo. The shapes of the shoes
designed for many celebrities are kept and exhibited here. Today, like fifty years ago, the
name Ferragamo is a symbol of Made-in-Italy luxury and elegance around the world.
