Alpha Industries

Samuel Gelber and Robert Lane founded Dobbs Industries in 1957, producing jackets for the American army and air force. Two years later, Alpha Industries was born and they continued to provide clothing for the American armed forces, beginning with bomber jackets for fighter pilots. Alpha Industries brought their high standards of quality and comfort into the production of "civilian" wear, and today the MA-1 flight jacket and the N-2B parka are icons of a trendy military style available in lines for women, men and children.
