As a young apprentice in a coat-shop in Paris at the end of the 1800s, Jeanne Lanvin became successful early on, and soon managed to open her own shop. Once she became a mother, she deftly transitioned from designing coats into the design of clothing for her little one. Her style and collections grew and matured alongside her daughter.
