Marquis M. Converse founded his eponymous shoe company in Malden, Massachusetts in 1908. Fifteen years later, famous basketball player Chuck Taylor collaborated with the designers of the company to create a pair of shoes to enhance his performance. That was the birth of the All Star, which in the 60s and 70s, became the most popular shoes in the world of rock music. Since the 90s, the company has produced infinite variations on the theme, changing colours and materials and becoming a real fashion phenomenon.
